Why I Always Recommend a Cruise When You Need a Getaway

Feeling overwhelmed? Burnt out? Daydreaming about running away from responsibilities with a cocktail in hand? I’ve got three words for you: Take. A. Cruise.
Seriously, cruises are my go-to recommendation when someone says they need a break but don’t want to deal with the stress of planning a break. Here’s why I’m always preaching the cruise gospel.
1. No Travel Math Required
You don’t have to figure out how to get from one city to another, where to eat, or what to do each day. Cruises say, “We got this,” while you say, “I’ll have another mimosa.”
2. You Unpack Once and Let the Magic Happen
Hop on board, stash your suitcase, and that’s it. Your floating hotel takes you to gorgeous destinations while you lounge by the pool or conquer the buffet.
3. Do Everything or Nothing at All
Want to zipline, salsa dance, and explore ancient ruins? Go for it. Want to nap, eat, and stare at the ocean like it holds all of life’s answers? Also approved.
4. Built-in Entertainment for All Vibes
Cruises come with game shows, live music, comedy acts, dance parties, spas, water slides, and sometimes even ice skating rinks. If you’re bored, you’re doing it wrong.
5. Food. Everywhere. All the Time.
Midnight pizza. Poolside tacos. Fancy steakhouse dinners. Cruises are the one place where asking, “Is this my third dessert today?” feels totally normal.
6. Easy on the Wallet, Big on the Fun
Cruises bundle your lodging, meals, entertainment, and travel between destinations into one price. I help find the best deals, and there are often promos that make the value even better. Hello, perks.
7. Escape Mode: Activated
No cooking, cleaning, commuting, or chaotic calendars. Just ocean breezes, fruity drinks, and the sweet, sweet sound of someone else handling everything.
