Why Virgin Voyages Was the Girls’ Trip I Didn’t Know I Needed

I’ve taken a lot of trips. Solo, with family, with kids, for work. But nothing hits quite like a girls’ trip. And when it comes to doing it right, Virgin Voyages nailed it.
This wasn’t just a vacation. It was one of those rare trips where I actually got to breathe, laugh, sleep in, and feel like myself again. No stress. No responsibilities. No one asking me for snacks. Just me, my girlfriends, and the open sea.
Adults Only Means Real Rest
I love my kids more than anything, but there is something magical about being on a ship with zero children around. The vibe is grown, relaxed, and just the right amount of wild when you want it to be.
The Cabins Feel Like You’re the Main Character
These rooms aren’t your typical cruise cabins. There’s mood lighting, hammocks on the balcony, and everything just feels cool and fun. We blasted music, did our makeup, and turned getting ready into part of the night.
The Food Is Genuinely That Good
From Korean BBQ to elevated Mexican street food, everything we tried was incredible. And no stressing about reservations or splitting the bill. Every restaurant is included. It felt like one long dinner party with my favorite people.
Mornings Were for Rest, Nights Were for Fun
We’d start the day at the spa or relaxing by the pool, then spend the night dancing under the stars, singing at karaoke, or all dressed in red for Scarlet Night. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time.
No One Had to Be the Planner
I’m usually the one coordinating everything, but Virgin makes it so easy. No dining packages. No drink packages. Wi-Fi and tips are included. For once, I just packed my bags and showed up.
Here’s What I Realized
This trip wasn’t about luxury or escaping. It was about reconnecting. With my friends. With myself. With the version of me that still knows how to let go and have fun. I came back lighter, happier, and honestly kind of glowing.
